What is Helicobacter Pylori?
Helicobacter pylori (or H pylori) is bacteria in the stomach. The infection can cause stomach ulcers which, in turn, cause the symptoms of indigestion.

How is H. pylori diagnosed?
Helicobacter pylori infection can be diagnosed by blood test, stool test or by biopsies.

Is the capsule large and thus difficult to swallow?
The capsule is smooth and not considered as large.

What problem does H. pylori cause?
Most people who are infected with H. pylori have no symptoms. H. pylori is the most common cause of gastric ulcer. In some people H. pylori causes inflammation in the lining of the stomach. This called gastritis.

What is Mastika?
Mastic gum is traditional herbal remedy for digestive problems.

What is the active ingredient of Mastika?
The active ingredient is resin of Mastika (Pistacia Lentiscus) tree.

What is the correct daily dosage of Mastika?
For intensive treatment adults take 2 capsules per day: 1 capsule of 500mg Mastika with water or juice 30min before breakfast and 1 capsule before bed in the evening on an empty stomach. 

For preventive treatment adults take 1 capsule per day: 1 capsule of 500mg Mastika with water or juice 30min before breakfast.

What is the duration of treatment?
Duration of the treatment is 3 months with correct dosage.

Does Mastika has any side effects?
Mastic gum has no known side effects when taken as directed.

Does Mastika interact with any other products?
There are no known interactions with other medicines.

Can I use Mastika during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Mastika is a natural herbal product. We recommend consulting your doctor or a pharmacist before using it if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Can I open the capsule, empty out content in water and drink it?
Yes, you can empty the contents of Mastika capsules into water and drink it.
